The initiative stems from numerous pastoral and social visits made in 1997 and 1998 by Pastor Théophile GAKUNZI NKINZI-NGABO to several hundred families from the Moyens and Hauts Plateaux of Uvira and Fizi who had found refuge in Bugarama in the Republic of Rwanda. After their voluntary repatriation to their places of origin in April 1998, certain peace-loving church leaders and lay people with a strong desire to rehabilitate the psycho-socio-agro-pastoral environment, destroyed by the misdeeds of bad governance on the one hand, and the attitudes of populations who have accumulated long-standing frustrations in the DRC, those in the East in particular.Profil Organisationel en Anglais Correct
